I do not accept insurance directly. However, I provide a superbill so you can submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

I do not accept insurance at this time. Your time and progress matter, and each session is designed to support meaningful growth. This allows us to focus fully on your care without insurance restrictions.

You may still be able to receive partial reimbursement. I provide a superbill so you can submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance.

  • Working with an out-of-network therapist gives you more choice, flexibility, and privacy in your treatment. Click here for more information.

Many clients prefer out-of-network therapy because it offers greater privacy, tailored trauma care, and access to specialized approaches like IFS and Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a receipt called a Superbill that you can submit for reimbursement. Here are questions to ask your insurance company to help determine coverage they may provide:

    • Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health (or Behavioral Health)? Is couples therapy covered by this plan?

    • What is my deductible and how much has already been met?

    • What is my out of pocket payment before my deductible is met?

    • What percentage of the fee for each visit will be covered?

    • How many mental health sessions per calendar year does my insurance plan cover?

    • How do I obtain reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider?

    • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

    • Attachment Theory places the genesis of human relationships at the heart of treatment. It is rooted in the premise that all humans are born with an evolutionary ability to connect for the purpose of survival, developing on a lifetime into loving relationships with self, family, friends and community.

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS) conceives of every human as a system of interrelated parts, similar to the emotion-based characters in the Pixar movie, “Inside Out”. IFS therapy allows clients to understand and heal their wounded and protective parts and to access self energy as a process of healing.

    • Embodied or somatic approaches look to the body as a primary source of wisdom. Orienting to breath, posture, and movement as forms of communication in addition to verbal expression allows the client to develop understanding into the role of the body in recovery from trauma and toxic stress.

  • For telehealth sessions, you’ll receive a secure video link before your appointment. I conduct therapy session from a private, soundproof location. To participate, you must be physically in Rhode Island, Maine, New York, or Wisconsin at the time of the session. We’ll work together to ensure telehealth feels safe and effective for you.

  • I continue training in areas that directly support IFS and somatically-oriented therapy, including monthly consultation in both domains. I continue to support the Child Advocacy Center community in Wisconsin, providing supervisory support on a monthly basis and serve as an expert witness on an as needed basis. I engage in anti-racism and body justice practices in my daily life and believe deeply in dialogue in our divisive times.
